VanVed vs Pipedrive
for CRM
Why businesses choose VanVed over Pipedrive
Automation, WhatsApp and a GST-correct quotation builder are all on VanVed's standard plan; on Pipedrive those are Growth, Growth-beta and Premium respectively, each priced per seat. Pipedrive has no free plan at all and caps Lite at 2,500 leads and deals per user. Stages are now yours to define here too, and because a VanVed deal can become a quotation, a GST invoice or a delivery project inside the same system, the handoff after 'won' does not need a second tool.
Capability by capability
Every row below is what our 2026 research found — including the rows we lose.
| Capability | VanVed | Pipedrive |
|---|---|---|
| Visual pipeline board | Yes — drag a deal between stages, with counts and value per column | Yes — this is the product's whole idea |
| Customizing the pipeline | Yes now — Pipeline/PipelineStage models let you rename, reorder, add or remove stages per organization from a Pipelines settings tab | As many pipelines as you like, each with its own stages, on every plan |
| Workflow automation on the entry plan | Included — three triggers, three actions, no extra charge | None on Lite; Growth ($24/seat) gets 50 automations per company |
| WhatsApp from a record | Yes, on the standard plan, through your own WhatsApp Business credentials | Native integration is still in beta and starts at Growth |
| Quotes and proposals | Built in, with real Indian GST — CGST/SGST/IGST split by place of supply, HSN codes, revisions | Smart Docs with legally binding e-signature, but included only on Premium ($49) or bought as a $32.50 add-on — and no GST logic |
| Activity history on a record | No — the timeline is assembled from notes, tasks and a deal's timestamps; there is no stage history or logged call | Full contacts timeline and activity history |
| Importing your existing data | CSV contact import with a dry-run preview and per-row errors — contacts only, up to 2,000 rows a file; deals and companies still go in one at a time | CSV and spreadsheet import with an AI import assistant |
| Mobile app | Read-mostly: your open deals, your tasks, and notes on a deal. No creating or editing a deal on the phone | Full iOS and Android app with business-card scanning |
| What you pay | One organization subscription, unlimited sales users | $14–$69 per seat per month, no free plan, with Projects and Campaigns as separate add-ons |
Where Pipedrive is ahead of us today
Pipedrive still runs deeper pipeline mechanics. Every plan lets you build as many separate pipelines as your business actually has; VanVed's Pipeline model gives you custom, reorderable stages per organization but has not been checked against running several distinct named pipelines side by side. Pipedrive keeps a genuine activity history on a record — we reconstruct a timeline from notes and timestamps and deliberately under-report stage changes because we have no history table. It imports a spreadsheet of contacts, organisations and deals with an AI mapping assistant; we import contacts from a CSV — with a dry run and per-row errors — but nothing else, so a deal history is still retyped. Its mobile app runs the job; ours mostly reads it back to you.
We publish this because a comparison that only flatters us is worth nothing to you. If one of these gaps is the thing you actually need, Pipedrive may well be the better buy.
