VanVed vs Vyapar POS
for POS
Why businesses choose VanVed over Vyapar POS
VanVed's till is honest about money: a UPI sale is only completed by a signature-verified Razorpay webhook, never by the client saying it paid, and a completed sale both moves stock and posts a balanced journal entry against the same customer record CRM and billing use.
Capability by capability
Every row below is what our 2026 research found — including the rows we lose.
| Capability | VanVed | Vyapar POS |
|---|---|---|
| Ring up a sale, void and refund with stock movements | Yes — stock leaves and returns against a real location | Yes |
| UPI / QR collection verified by the gateway | Razorpay order plus signed webhook — only the webhook completes the sale | QR and UPI supported at the counter |
| Barcode scanning | Scan or type a code at the till and the line is added, looked up on the server — but the SKU doubles as the barcode, and a partial code falls back to the top search hit rather than refusing | USB and Bluetooth scanners, auto-fill at the counter |
| Thermal receipt printer and cash drawer | A4-style PDF receipt only; no printer or drawer support | 2/3/4-inch thermal printing, drawer pops on cash |
| Offline billing at the till | No — the till stops when the network does | Bills offline and syncs later |
| Cashier shift open/close and cash reconciliation | A close-out summary for any day — sales, takings by tender, voids and refunds — but no drawer session, no declared-cash count and so no variance, and no sequential Z | Day-book and cash-in-hand tracking |
| Split payment across two tenders on one bill | One payment method per sale | Yes |
| Till sale posts itself to the double-entry ledger | Yes — completed sales post as journal entries | Cash book, not a real double-entry ledger |
| The customer at the till is the same record as in CRM and billing | Yes, one Party across POS, invoices and orders | Party list is billing-local |
Where Vyapar POS is ahead of us today
As counter hardware, VanVed is not competitive. There is no thermal printer support, no cash drawer, no cashier shift, no split tender and no offline mode — and while a scanned code now adds a line and a register can be summarised for the day, there is no declared-cash count, so the summary tells you what should be in the drawer and never what is. A retail counter would still be handing over an A4 PDF. Vyapar does all of that for a fraction of the price.
We publish this because a comparison that only flatters us is worth nothing to you. If one of these gaps is the thing you actually need, Vyapar POS may well be the better buy.
