VanVed vs vcita
for Consulting
Why businesses choose VanVed over vcita
VanVed's consultant profile is richer than vcita's — industries, languages and social links out of the box — and the practice behind it gets contracts, quotations, projects, HR and payroll in the same tenant for one non-per-seat price. vcita bills per seat, so a five-consultant firm pays five times.
Capability by capability
Every row below is what our 2026 research found — including the rows we lose.
| Capability | VanVed | vcita |
|---|---|---|
| Consultant profile | Bio, expertise, industries served, languages, social links and years of experience | Staff profiles within the business account |
| Bookable services | Services with a duration, an hourly rate and currency, and a draft/active/archived lifecycle | Bookable services with online scheduling |
| Client pays for a service | A service can be listed as a product, but a paid consulting order is never fulfilled — no branch exists for it, so payment grants nothing and books nothing | Online payments, invoicing, estimates and recurring billing |
| Session notes | One private note per client relationship, not per session — a consultant cannot keep a dated record of each meeting | Client management with per-client history in the portal |
| Intake forms attached to a booking | A standalone survey builder with public token links exists, but nothing attaches a form to a service or a booking | Intake and lead-capture forms built into the booking flow |
| Client self-service portal | No. A client cannot browse consultants and book themselves in without a tenant login | Client portal is the centre of the product |
| AI receptionist | None | AI receptionist answering calls and inquiries, plus a lead conversion agent |
| Price for a team | ₹3,999/month for the whole platform, users not priced per seat on the top tier | $35 to $93 per month per seat — cost climbs directly with team size |
| Back office behind the consulting practice | Invoicing, quotations, contracts, projects, HR and payroll are all modules of the same tenant | Invoicing and payments, but no projects, contracts, HR or payroll |
Where vcita is ahead of us today
vcita is a client-facing business and VanVed's consulting module is currently an internal directory. A vcita client books, fills an intake form, pays and sees their history in a portal; a VanVed client can do none of that. Worse, a consulting service can be priced and listed but paying for it fulfils nothing at all — there is no fulfilment branch for it — so the money changes hands and no session is created. vcita also runs an AI receptionist that answers calls and books work, which has no counterpart here.
We publish this because a comparison that only flatters us is worth nothing to you. If one of these gaps is the thing you actually need, vcita may well be the better buy.
